Charitrees – performance

Thirty beautifully decked out Christmas Trees – dubbed Charitrees lit up the walkways of Marina Bay this Christmas as our children and young beneficiaries along with the Singapore Police Force Band and Yishun Town Secondary School NPCC Band put up a spectacular start to this wonderful display. Their music and dance performances have certainly brought much cheer during this festive season!

Children for Children 2018

This year, Children for Children raised for tham $300 000 for the Business Times Budding Artists Fund! The kids also had a wonderful children’s day at Children for Children 2018. The event organised by CHIJ KELLOCK, The RICE Company Limited, The Business Times and Resorts World Sentosa, brought cheer to 1000 primary school children from all over Singapore. They were treated to a wonderful musical by pupils from CHIJ Kellock and visited the SEA Aquarium and the Maritime Experiential Museum.

Mandai Fun Day

Our Visual Artists were invited for a learning journey at the Singapore Zoo. They learnt about Wildlife Reserves’s conservation efforts to protect various endangered species such as the rare and very cute Roti Island Snake-necked Turtle, they even got a chance to see the turtle up close!

The students also had a great time interacting with the lemurs, orang-utans, sloth and other lovable animals spotted at the Zoo. They are grateful for this chance to learn about protecting animals in the region and for the opportunity to have worked with Wildlife Reserves previously, creating artworks on the 5 endangered species under the Mandai Park Project. 

Tan Chin Tuan Book Launch

The morning rain did not dampen the children’s energy to be there for the More Than Words event by Tan Chin Tuan Foundation! Our vocal and dance students from Little Vox & Skittles delivered a joyful performance that livened the spirits of the audience.

Prudential Workshop @ Prudential Tower

Our students, who are beneficiaries of BT BAF, had the great chance to learn about financial management concepts such as Earn, Save, Spend and Donate with Prudential Singapore at the Cha-Ching Money-Smart Kids Workshop, each receiving a certificate at the end of their half-day workshop.

ChildAid Asia Malaysia

Dance groups Sugar Rush Crew & Stylo Mylo Crew performed with great energy at ChildAid Asia Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur 2018. New friendships were formed and this is definitely an experience of a lifetime!

Citi Golf awards night

Our vocal group Little Vox and dance group, Skittle Crew were invited to perform for Citi Information Technology & Partners 16th Annual Charity Golf dinner! They charmed the audiences with their vocals and dance moves. Minister for Finance Mr Heng Swee Keat was also present for the dinner, and the children was truly honoured to meet him.

PassionArt: Wild Life Reserve

Our visual arts students had a busy day at Pasir Ris Park helping out as Ranger Guides for an exhibition! We partnered Global Cultural Alliance and Mandai Parks for a recycled art installation for PAssionArtsPasir Ris Beach Art Festival. Artworks for the five highlighted endangered species under Mandai Parks project were contributed by students from The Little Arts Academy & 10 Square Youth. This is part of our collaborative platform to work together and create engaging experiences for the public!

Cha Ching – NLB

The children were excited to be invited to the launch of WondeRead, where they received mystery boxes filled with books! WondeRead is an initiative by the National Library Board, Singapore to provide children from less privileged backgrounds with reading materials. 

ASEAN Singapore 2018

Little Arts Academy had the honor of being invited to perform at the ASEAN Finance 2018 Gala Dinner! It was a pleasure to have been able to perform for Minister of Finance, Mr Heng Swee Keat.

Performance at Prudential Carnival

“Earn, save, spend and donate!”

40 of our beneficiaries from were part of a special financial literacy show called Cha-Ching at the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival!

Combining elements of dance, music and theater, this performance seeks to instill valuable money-smart skills so that children have a better understanding of simple financial concepts of at a young age.

Big Big Channel

Our Junior dancers just performed the opening act at TVB’s Big Big Channel launch at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza! They also accompanied Ms 薛家燕 Nancy Sit during her song, JiaYan Mama.

Citibank LNY Dinner Performance

Citi is a longtime supporter of the BT BAF and been committed to nurturing the interest and talents of our young beneficiaries. Not only are their Angbao featured with designs by our beneficiaries for the last three years, this year, our beneficiaries were invited to perform at Citi’s Lunar New Year Dinner. The children enjoyed performing for the dinner and the hospitality was superb as well.

Ballroom Night @ The Pavilion

Another night full of dance and togetherness at “Ballroom Night” at the Pavilion. One of our student, Elizabella, was the mistress of ceremony for the night. Not to be outdone, the dancers from LAA and 10sq, Stylo Mylo Crew & Divert10n, spiced up the night further with their collaborative contemporary hip hop dance.

OCBC Mighty Savers Ride

Twenty of our beneficiaries completed their cycling courses accompanied by mentors from OCBC. After going through 3 class course, learning how to bike under the guidance of their mentors, they each proudly earned a bicycle and certificate for their efforts.

Performance @ Timbre+

Nineteen  children had the opportunity to perform live at Timbre+, an urban food park last night. We started off with a loud bang! Noise Box, the percussion group blew the audience away with their performance followed by the guitar students, who soothed the audience with an wonderful cover of One Call Away by Charli Puth, Ending off with our two start singers from Little Vox, who performed Let It Go from the Movie Frozen.

Children For Children 2017

An annual community event, Children for Children which falls on Children’s Day every year and our kids from The Little Arts Academy were treated to a day of fun at KidZania Singapore! We’d like to thank the organizing team, CHIJ Kellock Primary, The Business Times & The RICE Company Limited for the wonderful outing on Children’s Day!

Citi IT & Partners Charity Golf Fund Raiser

Thirty of our students took the stage at Citibank’s annual charity golf tournament gala dinner performing feet-tapping song and dance. Thank you Citibank for the platform and the continued support in raising funds for BT BAF that has enabled Little Arts Academy and 10 Square to offer arts training in music, dance, theater and visual arts. 
The event was graced by Mr Baey Yam Keng 马炎庆 , Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and Mr Paul Paul McCarroll, Chief Information Officer, Head of Citi Technology Infrastructure, Citi Asia Pacific.
